All About Pets

Kelly's Koner Show Us Your Life this week is all about pets.



This is my sweet heart Lady. We got her at the end of last summer after a couple of months of Ian saying he wanted a dog. I found her on pet finder at a shelter in Monroe, LA. My husband as soon as he seen her he wanted her but I didn't. Oh I thought she was a cute little thing but Dachshunds have back problems something and with 2 little boys I didn't want to have to worry about the dog. So we made the trip down to Monroe and she was the first one we seen as we walked in. Her and her brother that was 5 years older then her were in a pen together. I stopped and looked at her then went and looked at all the other dogs. Oh I could have gotten them all they all made me so sad. After awhile of looking we were all drawn back to her. I decided that since she was a young dog only 1 year old and she was house trained and crate trained that we would take her. I can't believe how great of a dog she is. She loves the boys with all her heart and has never gotten mad at all the times they try to smother her with love. She just takes and and seems to love it. She is just a sweet heart and I couldn't see life with out my lay-lay.

What A Week!

Well I think it is safe to say that this week has been a bad week. Why was it bad? Well let me tell you.

First what does this car (being my car)



And this car (being hubby's car)



Have in common? Well Let me tell you they are the only cars we have and both are not working. That is right first my hubby's car went down and needs a new bushing or something like that and my car needs a new bearing. Oh let me tell you it is so great not having a car that works. NOT! I would just give up on cars all together and get a horse and buggy but I am sure the horse would die on us or something.

Then to top all things off old Mr. Swine Flu comes to visit.



I guess the only thing good about this week was that no one else got sick and I pray that it stays that way and that Ian is back to his old self. Thank You Lord :)

H1N1

Well I guess that is what my little man has :( My sister got a call from the school today and they said they were shutting down the school for a few days because a couple of the kids have tested positive for H1N1. I cried and cried when I was told this today. I was so hoping that Ian just had the seasonal flu and not that mess.



Today for him has been a better day. He has not ran a fever since around 7 this morning. He has been playing with his brother and seems to be back to his old self. I pray with everything in me that Bradon doesn't come down sick.

Please keep Ian, Bradon and all the other sweet children with this sickness in your prayers. I am so very worried.

Ian and the Flu

Well today I had to take my little man back to the doctor. He woke up last night with a 102.6 temp. Well today he started throwing up, dry cough, sore throat, and still running a fever. So I took him in to the doctor. They made him wear a mask in the doctors office and well he was not to happy about that one. The thing was as big as his face. Well the doctor said he has every symptom of the flu but was not going to test him for it since the test can give alot of false negatives. He doesn't know if he has Type A flu or H1N1, but he thinks he has Type A. He can't go back to school for the rest of the week and is on Tamiflu and a antibiotic because his ears are a little red. He is still not feeling very well but is happy for no school for the rest of the week. Just pray for my little man and pray that my other little man doesn't get it.

Blog and Frogs

Well as you can see I have changed my blog again :) I like my old background but didn't have my bar thing at the top and that was driving me crazy!

Well Saturday and Sunday was a busy day for frogs. We found 2 big ones on Saturday and 1 on Sunday. The one on Sunday Bradon fell in love with and wanted to keep. He was a very unhappy boy when I made him let the frog go. This was his first time I let him hold a frog all by himself. I am always afraid he is going to hold it a little to hard and hurt the poor little frog. The frog on Sunday was a big one and didn't seem to mind being held. Bradon just talked to it he was just so sweet to his little frog.

Ian Update and Halloween

Well I took Ian to the doctor Friday and the doctor said that his eyes are infected because of serve allergies. He has to take eye drops in both eyes 4 times a day for 7 days. I was not looking forward to this but he is doing very well with the eye drops. For Ian that is amazing since he hates even getting water in his eyes. Both eyes are doing much better and he was able to go to school today.

Well Halloween went well. Ian was so looking forward to trick or treating. We all had a great time just alot of walking. Not many house were doing the Halloween things this year and that was a little sad. When I was a kid every house was giving out candy. Then we went to my mom and dads house for a weenie roast. It was just a fun night of eating and seeing family.
